The Serie-DFB downdraft tables are an ideal solution for protecting personnel exposed to the risk of inhaling toxic chemical substances. They are widely used whenever it is necessary to work on large support surfaces, without the perimeter constraints typical of laboratory fume hoods. The capture of potentially hazardous odors and aerosols generated during handling operations takes place directly through the perimeter holes of the grilles integrated into the worktop.
Thanks to the specific “dual-channel” layout of the waste collection system, the air is uniformly extracted across the entire working surface while simultaneously preventing liquids from being conveyed into the filtration system.
  • Capability to operate in total recirculation or total exhaust mode after filtration
  • Optimal containment factor generated by the specially designed perimeter perforations of the worktop
  • Uniform suction airflow distribution
  • High efficiency activated carbon filtration system, certified BS7989:2001, with specific tests for isopropyl alcohol, ammonia, sulfur dioxide, and formaldehyde
  • Option to install a supplementary or primary HEPA H14 filter with 99.995% efficiency at 0.3 µm
  • 360° operator access to the worktop
  • Liquid collection beneath the worktop with optional internal washing system, without removing the work surfaces and without any risk of filter contamination
  • Perforated worktop with removable, autoclavable sectors
  • Dynamic sealing on the filtration unit with no possibility of leakage
  • Optional sink installation with mixer tap and pull-out spray head
  • Optional electromechanical waste disposer for the sink

DFB tables are available in two different configurations:

  • BASE: equipped with a dual-speed motor with manual control, electromechanical hour counter, and visual low-airflow alarm
  • STANDARD: equipped with a variable-speed motor featuring an automatic compensation system based on filtration system saturation conditions, and a multifunction TIMELOG control system for alarm management and display (temperature alarm, filter and pre-filter alarm, low-airflow alarm, motor alarm)
CONSTRUCTION
  • Lower structure made of epoxy-polyester powder-coated steel, equipped with height-adjustable feet
  • Worktop and waste collection basin made of AISI 316 stainless steel sheet, thickness 1.2 mm, satin finish SB, easily removable for routine maintenance
  • Sink made of AISI 304 stainless steel sheet, installed at the table end, equipped with a clinical-lever hot/cold mixer tap with pull-out spray head (optional)
ACCESSORIES
  • Worktop layout with solid support area at the end
  • Front upstand with support shelf
  • Dedicated waste collection lines
  • Aspirated end cabinet for storage of spill containers, equipped with an extractable drawer
  • Full stainless steel execution (worktop + structure)
